Our industry has so much to celebrate! On Friday, June 10th, the International Photographic and Company Awards Banquet will be held in at the Galleria Ballroom of the Westin Galleria Houston to just that! The evening awards kick off with the announcement of the 2022 National School Photographic Competition winners recognizing the best in in school photography, from traditional classroom portraits and graduation photos, to dynamic sports photography and creative senior portraits.
Industry leaders will be recognized in a series of awards… and you can nominate your own worthy candidates. Award categories include:
The SPOA Presidents' Award of Excellence
The SPOA Presidents' Award of Excellence goes to the SPOA member who sets their own agenda aside to help fellow photography companies. This person helps preserve the school photography industry by spending their time within SPOA and other organizations, professing the value and importance of school photography, yearbooks and the service we provide to schools and organizations across the globe. This person embodies servant leadership, and is committed to the values and mission of our trade association through their works in educating, in advocating, in preserving, in protecting and in promoting school photography and yearbooks.

Any SPOA Company, Business, Education or retired Member
Any SPOA Board Members
Any SPOA Committee Members
Any SPOA company or business members staff

SPOA Chairman's Award of Innovation
The SPOA Chairman's Award of Innovation recognized an inventor or an innovator who has revolutionized the school photography and yearbook industry. This year commemorates a century of school photography and your association wants to recognize the pioneers whose technical innovations propel the industry forward. Whether a new mobile app or a decades-old camera modification, we want to celebrate the trailblazers. Nominate your candidate here.
Rising Star Award
The Rising Star Award is intended for an up-and-coming professional, aged 30 or younger, who shows a passion for their work and a consistently high level of professional achievement. This person demonstrates strong leadership qualities, special creativity or abilities, and a promising future in their field. To be eligible, the nominated young person must work for a SPOA member company but they can be anyone from a company owner or manager to an employee of any department. Click here to nominate.
The Lab of Excellence Award
The Lab of Excellence Award recognizes the portrait lab that delivers not only excellent quality products but also delivers service and reliability above and beyond the norm.
